On December 6, Actress Tessa Thompson took a break from promoting her hit film, Creed II, to host the annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale Party in collaboration with Artsy at Miami’s Villa Casa Casuarina, formerly known as the Versace Mansion. The event was in celebration of the program’s 15 finalists and their excellent work. Artist Erik Niemen was announced as the Grand Finale Winner of the 9th Annual Bombay Sapphire artisan series competition with Judy McReynolds-Bowman coming in second and J. Margulisbeing crowned the People’s Choice Winner. Up next for first place winner Nieminen is a collaboration with Artsy on a public art installation that will debut in New York next summer.

Plenty of people came out to show their support with the VIP list including actresses Laura Harrier and Sasha Lane;singer Teyana Taylor; models Devon Windsor, Shaun Ross, and Beau Dunn; DJs Brendan Fallis and Coco & Breezy; Rapper Brittney Taylor; artists Chloe Wise, Sarah BahBah, and the Kaplan Twins; and retired NBA star Kevin Garnett. Guests in attendance enjoyed artfully crafted Bombay Sapphire cocktails while they listened to tunes provided by Grammy award-winning duo SOFI TUKKER.
