The iconic Louis Vuitton opened it’s newest Maison in Aventura Mall on February 7. The Maison is the first among other stores in North America to offer bespoke leather goods, “Made to Order Shoes” for men, and introduces “Haute Maroquinerie”: made-to-order leather goods for women.
In celebration of the opening, guests were invited to discover Louis Vuitton’s heritage through live demonstrations of Louis Vuitton’s eminent expertise. Using the finest tools and meticulous artistry, seasoned artisans showcased highly specialized practices from the House’s shoe atelier in Fiesso D’Artico as well as craftsmanship of the iconic Louis Vuitton trunks.
Louis Vuitton has been around for so many years and has created so many luxurious items over the years, making it such a desirable brand. So many people would love to get their hands on an LV classic! Those who miss out on the event can still find fabulous LV pieces with the help of sites like lingsense, making it a little easier to have designer accessories.
Guests also enjoyed an Art of Packing demonstration in the Maison’s new travel room. Louis Vuitton Maisons are conceived as travel destinations incorporating art and cultural elements into its retail space. Aventura’s exhibits include two permanent installations: a sculpture by Jorge Pardo above the grand staircase and floral work by Dan Colen in the womens’ universe. A rotating exhibition in the Maison’s vestibule featured a bright video along with two “paper cuts” panels by Janaina Tschape at the opening.
