Meet the fabulous founder and CEO, Elizabeth Braha, of Elizabeth Braha Interiors: an interior design brand with an elegant and sophisticated, yet simple style. Her eye for design is refined with a modern, clean, and upscale look to every project that she touches. Her projects are so fantastic you’ll find many homeowners using her as inspiration for their interior design as well as using sites like Easy Home Concepts for inspiration to add their own spin on it. Elizabeth Braha graduated from Parsons School of Design with a passion for interior design. She is an avid art collector as well as a classical painter herself. Her exquisite taste in art sets her apart from other interior designers – when the designer of space also curates the artwork on the walls, it creates a beautiful harmony. Being a breakaway success in the business, Elizabeth is a true innovator of a new aesthetic in design, which she constructs by an impressive abundance of layers and depth for any space that she touches. Once you have an idea of which designers you’d like to reflect in your own home, make sure you use a professional painting service like Savage Painting Lake Norman to pull it all together. Also, it would be a good idea to check over your home before you begin designing it, this would be like to check if there is water damage from peeling wallpaper or cracks in the walls or floorboards. This is important because it could be a sign of termite infestations, where, in this case, it would be in your best interest to look for something like a ‘termite control near me‘, in order for the best home design results without anything getting ruined in the future.

Designer, Nicole Cohen, of Sketch42 Blog, recently featured Elizabeth’s work on her blog. Elizabeth had just been tasked with restoring an 1891 Arts and Crafts–style home just a block from the beach in a seaside town in New Jersey. The owners purchased the home more than 30 years ago, as their summer home, and began a slow and careful restoration 10 years ago with Elizabeth at the helm. They restored, redesigned and even gutted many rooms in the home while still maintaining the integrity of the house.

“I especially love the perfect imperfections in an old home that give a home its warmth and moody atmosphere, not all the rooms are perfectly square and symmetrical, but the flow of air when the doors are open is just perfect. The open-feeling elegance yet casual charm is very unique and not a style found in many old or new homes.”

Elizabeth also is involved in charities and fundraisers, whenever she gets the chance from her busy, though rewarding schedule. She especially loves being involved in those that specifically feature designers and artists, including “Picnic by Design,” to benefit Aids and “Table Set Go,” to benefit Morris Cancer Center. The “Picnic by Design” event by Interior Design Magazine, who paired up with Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids, (AKA DIFFA National) highlights design, food and fun for a worthy cause. Picnic by Design brings together designers, manufacturers and artists whose work is enjoyed, celebrated, and bid on by DIFFA supporters. Funds raised supports their grant making efforts to help nonprofit organizations across the country combating HIV/AIDS. Guests are invited to sip cocktails and wine while savoring picnic fare from fabulous NYC restaurants and bidding to win one-of-a-kind designer picnic baskets. Designers get to choose their themes for their elaborate and over-the-top “picnics.” Elizabeth chose to do a basket in a style of a painter’s picnic, which was fitting, since she is a classically trained painter. With artistic inspirations, Elizabeth strategically used for the “picnic blanket,” a unique hand-painted fabric in an art-deco style by the high-end French home decor, La Maison Pierre Frey. The art-inspired picnic was complete with painted canvases and wooden paint palettes as the place-mats, paint cans filled with paint brushes, miniature wooden mannequins, sketch pads, topped off with a quirky “mustache” bottle opener to add some wit. She then completed the picnic with some vibrant red flowers and colorful printed napkins. Elizabeth meticulously plans out every detail of any of her designs and she says that it is “exhilarating” for her to be a part of such a fantastic cause as well as showing her talents along with other talented designers. After carefully spending hours carrying out all of the finishing touches, she ended up successfully selling her picnic basket and raised funds towards the DIFFA National charity.

For the Table Set Go event that benefits Morris Cancer Center, Elizabeth has been a staple, designing her own tables over the last few years. When she first started, she chose to do themes such as a classic a summer-themed navy and white clean and crisp table. Over the years, Elizabeth has been taking more creative risks with her choice of themes, which includes a Balinese inspired table: capturing the breathtaking essence of Bali, the beauty and friendly people, a lively country filled with bold colors and symbolic images. Elizabeth completed her Balinese table with hot pink umbrellas with tassels, paper matching fans, exotic fruits and flowers, and tons of elephants, including a large silver elephant sculpture as the center piece as well as elephant-shaped napkin holders for the finishing details. The table was covered with a hot pink-printed fabric, which tied in with the other hot pink props on display and wooden placemats matched the utensils, which had wood detail as well.
The contemporary art world is vibrant and booming like never before and it’s a twenty-first-century phenomenon, a global industry in its own right. Contemporary artists seek the power to astonish, challenge and surprise: Elizabeth’s blogs achieve and go beyond all of these things. She showcases artwork in the form of interior design that the public may not ordinarily have access to outside of a large urban environment within a welcoming, creative, and inspirational platform. She is an artist of design, photography, writing, marketing and social media. As time goes on Elizabeth will continue to delve deeper into the beautiful world of interior design and blogging by utilizing a wide range of mediums and materials while taking an intimate approach to art direction and purpose. For instance, the use of AI has been used greatly over the years to help simulated interiors to help with house remodels and designs, using simulated indoor scenes as assistance amongst a myriad of other AI-based products. Elizabeth’s style is taking over the design world by storm one interior at a time – and she’s only just getting started. We all are looking forward to seeing what she accomplishes next with her influential and limitless style!
