Real Love is intended not just to be an art exhibition, but rather an immersive event, an experience that is different from the traditional white wall gallery experience. The curators of Real Love, Mr. StarCity and Bebe Low, have created spaces of activation to prompt viewers to participate and contribute their own notions of love on the walls of the gallery alongside the artworks of the selected 11 artists.

The goal of this experience is to make attending art shows easily approachable, inviting and fun.

Last Tuesday they had the privilege of attending the REAL LOVE Valentine’s Day Art Exhibition Curated by the amazing Mr. Star City and Bebe Low at the Okay Space Gallery presented by Okay Player.

The gallery had a sleek and contemporary atmosphere that definitely catered to the youthful energy of growing artists in the Williamsburg neighborhood. As an outside viewer, I felt like I really belonged in this simply edgy crowd, appreciating fine pieces from artists of various fields. The show covered the concept of “real love” and however obtuse that theme may be, Mr. StarCity and Bebe Low managed to pull it off. Each artist put their all into their pieces and clearly worked together to make the show not only aesthetically complimentary to each other’s work but emotionally as well. Packed with young successful artists, great tunes, and fashionable trendsetters—what else can you ask for?

If you haven’t had the chance to view the exhibition yet, Okay Space invites you to a more intimate showing of the works as the artists speak about their processes and reasoning behind the work.
