Where else but Miami Beach does a real estate mogul team up with an acclaimed artist to kick-off festivities for the 1st annual KittiesAndKiddies Holiday Party & Toy Drive. It was a gorgeous; “chilly” Thursday night on Dec. 17th, 2015; where notable attendees came to the hosts’ James Kolka and Anaya Soliman, of SoBeautifulLifestyle.com, breathtaking home in Pine Tree Drive to support the cause.

DSC01041At Kolka and Soliman’s estate, a laid back and eclectic holiday-themed masquerade featured the art of Eddy Bogaert, whose canvasses surrounded the stunning intercostal-facing pool and the picturesque Christmas tree in the home’s foyer.

The beautiful, classically decorated tree created stark contrast aside a still-drying mural that I watched Eddy create using a ladder and neon spray paint. The painting, a playful graffiti take on Mickey Mouse, named “I Can’t Feel My Face,” referenced The Weekend’s biggest hit song and unintentionally touched on how I felt after inhaling all that spray paint. Yet none of us really mined as we had the pleasure of being entertained with a fantastic show, even though some brain cells may have been affected.

All in all, it was a beautiful night as DJ Irene Pardo laid down a sick mix of old school and new school house as well as hip hop. Between the music, the art and the exclusive guests, it was a night to remember. The event was a definite success in which over 80 toys were donated to The Little Lighthouse Foundation Toy Drive and over $300 to C.A.T.S.
