The Global Party at Buddha-Bar

LONDON, October 3, 2014 – Buddha-Bar Knightsbridge, a truly global restaurant and winner of the Best Restaurant Bar at London Club & Bar Awards 2014, is proud to be able to announce our exciting partnership with The Global Party and The Global Charity Trust.

The Global Party is an exciting initiative and is named the world’s biggest VIP private charity event. How could we resist being part of this international achievement?

From New Zealand to Bhutan, New York to Paris, 168 events across the world this year have joined together for fund-raising events globally and to raise both awareness and funds for hundreds of good causes.

With Ethiopian wolves, Zambian elephants and super yachts being part of the fun and philanthropy; with a gold and caviar cocktail being created, The Buddha-Bar was proud to accept to become a participating charitable venue. Let’s face it, finding a good venue nowadays can be really challenging. Fortunately, exceptional party venues Southampton can be found online for anyone planning an event.

Set over two floors, with various event space options, Buddha-Bar Knightsbridge can accommodate a wide variety of dining, drinking and private event options. From informal lunch meetings for two, team building Sushi masterclasses, conferences and after work drinks, to cocktail receptions, fashion shows, weddings and catering for up to 450 people. The contemporary and unique interior, featuring bespoke art installations and crystallized dragon heads accompanied by our signature Buddha-Bar lounge music, assist in creating a glamorous and welcoming atmosphere. Buddha-Bar Knightsbridge has also recently launched Buddha-Bar Boutique catering services, most recently catering for the VIP Terraces at British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park, Formula 1 VIP events and celebrity charity events.

The exciting partnership of The Global Party and Buddha-Bar heralds a successful marriage. We are delighted to support THE MOVEMENT, where luxury supports philanthropy. With every £50.00 spent with the delicious Global Party Dining Menu, Buddha-Bar will donate £20.00 to The Global Charity Trust. Throughout October and November, fine dining and philanthropy has never been so easy.

The Global Party, founded by co-trustees David Johnstone and Lord Stanley Fink, attracts the world’s leading philanthropists, entrepreneurs and A-list stars – and it is rapidly expanding. Its purpose is to bring together finance, fund-raising and fun, raising substantial donations and awareness for hundreds of good causes through exciting lavish parties. Since its launch in 2011, parties thrown by the trust have been attended by tens of thousands, including Uma Thurman, Arpad Busson, Lily Cole, Brian Ferry, Macy Gray, Samantha Barks and Hayden Panettiere. The Buddha-Bar looks forward to welcoming not just the international elite but everyone who wants to become part of THE MOVEMENT and help make a difference.

The Global Party Milestones are impressive. The Global Party first occurred in 2011 across 73 cities and by 2013 the number of cities had grown to 143. In its first year, 80,000 guests partied at 80 international venues over two days. Now, over 100,000 people have been attending The Global Party events throughout the month of September in conjunction with the world’s premium restaurants, bars, clubs, 5 star hotels, property developments and luxury retailers.

The Global Party is an awe-inspiring event – soon to take place every six months from March 2015 – which helps to raise both awareness and funds for thousands of local charities through The Global Charity Trust.

The Global Party aims to raise more than £2m net for The Global Charity Trust from events and donations by the end of 2014.

The Global Charity Trust is established under the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF, registered charity number 268369)
