Louis Vuitton has represented the epitome of luxury travelling since 1854, and its recently updated collection “Objets Nomades” did not disappoint. The event occurred this past Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015; where the legendary brand commemorated the exhibition in their Miami Design District store, revealing a world exclusive addition to the Objets Nomades collection.

This collection consists of unique travel essentials, which have been produced in alliance with 10 reputable international designers. Objets Nomades first debuted in 2012, during Design Miami; presenting a modern twist to Louis Vuitton’s traditional aesthetic, as well as paying tribute to classic pieces such as the Bed Trunk and Wardrobe Trunk. This year, during Art Basel, the newest piece to the collection was premiered. An innovative Lounge Chair constructed by Dutch designer, Marcel Wanders, Louis Vuitton’s addition to the now 17 Objets Nomades, is also available in turquoise; influenced by Miami’s renowned “Ocean Drive” and architectural aesthetic.

The elegant brand rejuvenated their classic style by taking inspiration from their long-established travel pieces and finding promising designers that created contemporary renditions. Which has resulted in luxurious foldable pieces like the stools and love bench. The well-known innovative creatives that have participated in the collaboration are: Patricia Urquiola, Maarten Baas, the Campana Brothers, Barber and Osgerby, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Atelier Oï, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas, Raw Edges, and Marcel Wanders.

Attendees who were invited to the celebration consist of notables from the art, design, entertainment, and fashion worlds; along with: Anthony Ledru (President & CEO of Louis Vuitton Americas), Marcel Wanders (Objets Nomades Lounge Chair Designer), Patricia Urquiola (Objets Nomades Swing Chair Designer), Aurel Aebi (Atelier Oi – Objets Nomades Hammock & Stool), Craig Robins (President & CEO, DACRA), Jackie Soffer (Principal at Turnberry Associates – wife of Craig Robbins), Philip Levine (Major of Miami Beach), Lisa Marie Fernandez, Laure Dubreuil (CEO & co-founder the Webster Miami), Alegria Beracasa, Nadja Swarovski, Luis Garcia-Fanjul, Andres Fanjul, Laura de Gunzburg.

The exhibition will be open to the public from December 3rd, 2015  through February 10th, 2016.
