I met C.C. during Art Basel in Miami beach last year at the Versace Mansion for an event. I had just gotten back from the exhibition at the Convention Center with a friend from New York and I was meeting my other friends later in the evening for an Art Basel event on Ocean Drive, where C.C was with a crew of 4 people. Once we were all introduced to each other, we immediately started talking about all of our mutual artist friends in NYC and it was obvious that this group would remain to be the official Art Basel crew of the season. We soon found ourselves becoming great friends and making art and fashion together. I later gave her the nickname “resin queen,” because she was so naturally good at resining anything.

Here, we were sewing beanie baby dolls onto a dress for Ava Michelle, founder of @WhoCaresNYC, which has been one of the most influential and iconic fashion brands for pop culture by a young female entrepreneur.

C.C is currently working on a few art shows coming up. The most interesting one will be with Josh Harris for his art installation that he did 20 years ago called “We Live in Public,” and it’s the 10th anniversary of the documentary they made about it. Ben Stiller is also directing a movie version with Jonah Hill playing Josh and Benecio Del Toro is playing their friend Alfredo Martinez.
